This league shall be known as the BARBARA FOX CLASSIC LEAGUE OF THE TNBA and will consist of a maximum of 38 teams of four (4) members of any mixed combination.The league will commence bowling on August 20th 2010 and end on May 6th 2011.
The EXECUTIVE BOARD will consist of LEAGUE OFFICERS and TEAM CAPTAINS.The Team Captains will handle all team complaints.Two-thirds of the board will decide on issues that may arise.
FEES
1.All bowlers including substitutes must be sanctioned in accordance with the USBC/TNBA rules and regulations.The USBC Sanction fee is $19.00 and the TNBA Sanction fee is $20.00.All bowlers must be sanctioned the first night of bowling.
2.Each bowler will pay $23.00 per night.Distribution is as follows:

3.The Team Entry Fee is $80.00 ($20 per roster bowler) and is due by October 29th 2010.
4.TEAM CAPTAINS will be held responsible for the TEAM MONEY.All monies should be turned in by the end of 5th frame of the 1st game.
5.All bowlers are expected to pay their weekly fees every night they bowl.Maximum arrearage allowed for any bowler is $46.00 or two (2) weeks.Any bowlers more than two (2) weeks behind in fees will not be permitted to bowl and the absentee score must be used.Teams Captains are required to monitor team’s finances.
a.If a roster member bowls with or without the knowledge of the Team Captain while in arrearage the team will forfeit all points and the opposing team will earn points as in a normal forfeit situation.
b.A substitute cannot bowl for a bowler that is two (2) weeks is arrears.
6.The last two (2) weeks of the season MUST BE PREPAID.Week 35 on December 17th and Week 36 on April 22nd.
7.PERSONAL CHECKS made payable to the Barbara Fox Classic League will be accepted.Any bowler that presents a check that is returned for insufficient funds must cover the check along with a $10.00 bank fee the following week, as well as the current weekly bowling fees.Future payments by the bowler must be paid in the form of cash only.
AVERAGES, HANDICAPS AND SCORING
8.The team entering average cap has been established at 850.
9. The Team handicap is 90% of 900 minus the team average.
Ex.Team average is 790.900 - 790 = 110 x .90 = 99 team handicap pins.
10.Individual handicap is 90% of 220 and will be used only for individual season ending awards and weekly side pots.
11.Each bowler will begin the 2010-2011 bowling season with their 2009-2010 Barbara Fox Classic League season ending average based on 21 or more games.New bowlers without an established Barbara Fox Classic League average will use an entering average based on:
a.Their highest 2009-2010 USBC book average based on twenty-one (21) or more games.
b.If (a) does not apply, their highest 2010-2011 USBC average based on six (6) or more games.
c.If (neither a nor b) apply;new male bowlers will use a 185 entering average and new female bowlers will use a 170 entering average.New averages for all league bowlers will be established after bowling six (6) games.
12.The seven point (7) scoring system will be in effect. Two (2) points for each game won and One (1) point for total pin fall.
13.Position Round will occur every 6th week.
LINE-UPS, TARDY BOWLERS, ABSENTEES, VACANCIES AND SUBSTITUTES
14.Two (2) roster members constitute a LEGAL-LINE UP and are expected to bowl as scheduled.A team cannot pre or post bowl as long as two (2) roster members are available to bowl.
a.A team has until the completion of the first frame to field a legal lineup. (USBC Rule 109a/2)
15.TARDY BOWLERS are permitted to bowl providing they arrive before the anchor (4th) bowler of the opposing team completes their fourth (4th) frame.
16.The league ABSENTEE SCORE is the absent bowler’s average minus ten (10) pins.
17.If a team has a Vacancy and there is at least one permanent female bowler on the team, the vacancy score is 185.If a team has a Vacancy and there is not a permanent female bowler on the team, the vacancy score is 170.AT ANY TIME DURING THE SEASON, A TEAM CAPTAIN CAN FILL A VACANCY TO BRING THEIRTEAM TO LEAGUE STRENGTH.(USBC RULE 107c-9).
a.Teams Captains, if a roster member has been absent from bowling for 2 weeks without making contact with you, you must notify the League Officers to determine if the bowler will remain an absent bowler or a vacant bowler.
18.A maximum of two (2) substitutes will be allowed provided two (2) roster members are present.Substitutes DO NOT determine a legal line-up.
19.Substitutes on Position Night are not allowed with the exception of a roster bowler unable to compete due to injury.
20. There will be no substitutes allowed the last four (4) weeks (33-36) of the bowling season.
FORFEITS, PREBOWLS AND POSTPONEMENTS
21.A FORFEIT will be declared when a team fails to show up or only one (1) roster member is present to bowl.The team that is present must bowl within 40 pins of the team average in order to win the points.
a.A bowler(s) can bowl in a known forfeit situation.Pins will not be included in the team’s total pins; however, score will count towards averages, league awards and USBC Awards (USBC Rule 110c4/a-c).
22.If a team cannot field a legal line-up on a scheduled night of bowling with sufficient cause, a team captain can request unopposed pre or post bowling.A team captain is required to give a 48 hour notice the League Secretary (or other officer if unavailable) and the opposing team captain.A postponement will be granted to a team facing an emergency situation of unforeseen circumstances on a scheduled night of bowling.In either case, the League Secretary shall notify the bowling establishment of the change in schedules and arrange to have a pair of lanes available.All make-ups must be completed before the next scheduled night of bowling.
a. Unopposed pre or post bowling scores will be eligible for USBC award exceptHigh Score Awards as designated in Rules 51a-d, 52a and 52c (USBC Rule 111e/8).
PRIZES AND AWARDS
23.A bowler must bowl two-thirds or 72 games of the 2010-2011 season in order to qualify for an individual award.
24.There will be separate division for scratch and handicap for men and women.Only one (1) prize can be won per team and individual.The exception is the Most Improved Bowler which will be awarded to the male and female bowler who exceeds their prior Barbara Fox Classic season’s average by the most pins.High average award for male and female will pay only one (1) spot as it is considered an honor score deserving to one male and one female only.
25.If a team FORFEITS all three (3) games any of the last three (3) weeks, the team will lose ONE-THIRD of their prize money which will be divided equally among the remaining teams.
26.In the event of a tie between 1st and 2nd place in the main team event the last night of bowling, the tie will be decided by a one game roll-off.
